Advanced Placement and Honors Program
Each year we offer between 15-20 AP courses to students who have developed the required skills and shown the desire to
undertake challenging college-level material. All students who take an AP course are required to pay for and take an external
AP exam administered by the College Board in May. Students who receive passing
scores on the AP exams are awarded freshmen credit at a vast majority of U.S. universities and many others worldwide. Prior to
taking an AP class, students begin developing the necessary skills to be successful by taking honor classes. Honor classes are
designed to be more challenging than our standard college-prep courses and help prepare students for AP classes.
Students interested in learning more about the courses offered in our AP and Honors Program should first speak with their teacher of
the subjects they are most interested in.
