-
What is P1st about?
We have an additional year of studies at ASFG after Early Childhood. It is the first year of our Elementary School program and it is mandatory for all students who have just finished Kindergarten. During this grade level, students develop reading and writing skills in both English and Spanish languages, as well as social abilities. Especially during the Elementary School years, we feel it is important for students to be placed with others of relatively the same age.
-
What happens when my child returns home if he/she has "repeated" a year to enter ASFG?
While we do not view placement by age this way, as our pre-first program is more closely aligned with first grade than with a kindergarten program, it has been our experience that students are placed by age when returning to the US and that they go well prepared to enter the next chronological grade level, which sounds like "skipping" a year.
-
Does the ASFG offer scholarships?
New students cover 100% of their first-year payments. For their second year, as a school registered at the Mexican Educational Secretariat (SEP), students will be able to apply for a government scholarship (SEJ or UNAM).
ASFG has an additional Educational Schoolarship Foundation (ESF) where students will be able to apply as well.
