Ma. Leticia García de Espinosa

Mrs. Espinosa graduated from the American School of Guadalajara in 1982. Studied Chemical Engineering at the ITESO. She has a masters in education form the CEP: Maestria en Educación con Intervención en la Práctica Educativa. She also has a "diplomado" from the Tec. de Monterrey in "Tendencias Educativas".  She has been working at the American School since 1986 teaching physics, chemistry, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus and calculus. She is the current math department head.

Teaching this school year: AP Calculus, Calculus, Honors Precalculus, and  PreCalculus

 

Alfonso Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez has a degree in Chemical Engineering by U de G,  a Diploma in astrophysics by ITESO and just finished his Masters in Education by Framingham State College. Before becoming a Teacher he worked as a Process Engineer in a Chlor-Alkali Plant. He enjoys playing and watching soccer, base ball and tennis. His hobby is Astronomy. He treasures his Family.

June Mitsuhashi

June graduated from the ASFG in 1996.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering.  She has a Master’s  and PhD in Wood Science and Engineering from Oregon State University.  She has 9 years of experience teaching undergrads, high school, and middle school students both in private and public institutions.

Rhett B. Butler, M.D.

Rhett holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis and a doctor of medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He took a sabbatical leave from his private urology practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico to ride his bicycle to South America but canceled the rest of his trip when he met his wife, Mary, in Guadalajara. He has been teaching mathematics and conducting educational research since 2000. Before coming to ASFG, he worked at the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) and the Tec de Monterrey.
